When the concrete is not strong enough to support the crane rail, soleplates are used to support the rail. Depending on the load and rail type, soleplates can be either continuous or individual.
As a specialist manufacturer, Kingrail Parts can manufacture the highest quality soleplates for rail installation, tailored to your requirements.
* Continuous soleplates
Kingrail Parts has many years of experience installing continuous soleplates and has tried and tested various methods to ensure the design is accurately aligned, has the right strength and durability. Not all civil engineering contractors have experience with this type of installation.
For heavy applications with wheel weights over 30 tonnes, continuous rail support on steel soleplates is the best choice. Soleplates are typically 6 metres long and are usually 20mm thick or more. Soleplates are usually galvanised for outdoor applications. When welded rail clips are required, this must be done prior to galvanising.
* Discontinuous/Independent soleplates
Kingrail Parts has many years of experience installing individual soleplates in all common industrial and warehousing applications. We can provide a suitable design with all materials and installation included as required.
